The Miles Building
Asheville, NC
|
 |
|
Asheville
hosts one of the best collections of Art Deco architecture in the
country and right in the center of it all, this landmark brick and
terra cotta building serves as a cornerstone of Asheville’s heritage.
Anchored on a key downtown intersection fronting Haywood Street,
College Street, Battery Park Avenue and Wall Street, the building was
preserved for three generations of the Miles family and was just
recently sold to Stephen and Mary Ann West of Asheville. The new owners
made it adamant that they wanted to leave everything as is and maintain
the look the building had when it was built in 1903.
